Child Protection & Safeguarding

Sousse International School is fully committed to safeguarding and promoting the well-being of all its students. We believe that:

-
Every child has the right to be protected from harm.
-
Children must be safe and feel secure within the school environment.
-
Support should be tailored to meet each child’s individual needs, especially those who may have experienced abuse.
-
All children should feel free to express themselves and share their values and beliefs.
-
Respect for one another’s values should be encouraged, and mutual support among students is essential.
-
Children’s emotional and social well-being is just as important as their academic success—a happy, healthy, and socially confident child is more likely to thrive in school.
-
Schools play a vital role in preventing abuse, bullying, victimisation, exploitation, radicalisation, discriminatory attitudes, and risky behaviour.
-
Every member of staff and all visitors share the responsibility of safeguarding children and protecting them from harm.
Safeguarding means:

-
Protecting children from maltreatment;
-
Preventing harm to their health or development;
-
Ensuring they grow up in safe, nurturing environments that provide effective care; and
-
Taking proactive steps to give all children the best possible start in life
